Stratospheric sustainable ways of O2 production with Cyanobacteria
A Heartfelt Thank You
As Spicy BEXUS reaches the final phase of our project with the submission of our report this week, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude.
First and foremost, we thank those who supported us along the way—our generous sponsors, collaborators, and everyone who gave us the opportunity to share our journey.
A special thanks goes to Prof. Heinrich Jung, Prof. Herwig Stibor, and Dr. Frank Landgraf from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Bio Faculty for their invaluable advice and support throughout the project.
We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and partners:
PyroScience, VfR (Verein zur Förderung der Raumfahrt e.V.), proQuartz, SP Bel-Art, the LMU Bio Faculty, Sarstedt, and Brand. Thanks to you, we were able to acquire the equipment and travel funding needed to launch our precious cyanobacteria into the stratosphere.
We would also like to acknowledge Technische Universität München for the collaborative opportunities, especially through WARR Move, and extend our gratitude to Hochschule München and Makerspace Munich for providing us with workspaces and tools to bring our vision to life.
A huge thank you to the space agencies behind the BEXUS/REXUS project:
DLR (Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur), Rymdstyrelsen, ESA (European Space Agency), SSC (Swedish Space Corporation), and ZARM (Zentrum für angewandte Raumfahrttechnologie und Mikrogravitation). Your guidance, advice, and funding made it possible for us to complete our mission.
Last but by no means least, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Prof. Gisela Detrell for her exceptional supervision and guidance throughout this project.
Thank you all for helping us turn this ambitious dream into a reality!
We hope to continue our research in the future and if so keep you updated 😊!
